Cheer Coach Information
Ms. Riplinger is finishing her sixteenth year of teaching for Indian Springs School District 109 (2023-24 school year). During the 2020-2021, she was selected as the school district's "Educator of the Year". In the past, she has taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade and fifth grades. This current school year, she is an ELL teacher co-teaching in Kindergarten and first grade.
Ms. Riplinger has been involved with cheerleading since 1993. She cheered from elementary school through high school, and completed her cheer career on her high school varsity squad. After high school, Ms. Riplinger coached numerous basketball and football youth cheerleading squads, a jr. high squad in Oswego, and started up the Brodnicki cheerleading club (an after school extra curricular activity for Kindergarten through sixth grade students). The 2023-2024 season will be Ms. Riplinger's eighth season coaching at Wilkins Jr. High, with her 2019-2020 season placing first or second place at regional competitions and qualifying for the ICCA State Competition for the very first time in school and district history. At that state competition, we were one of the top ten team in the Large Jr. High category at the ICCA IL state championships. That season was our first official season in school history that Wilkins Jr. High cheerleading competed.
Safety is incredibly important for Ms. Riplinger, and something she stresses the importance of the most during our season together.
